Meta is out-executing its peers on generative AI: Analyst
Meta Platforms (META) posted first-quarter earnings results above analyst estimates, posting adjusted earnings of $4.71 per share and $36.46 billion in revenue. Meta shares plummeted by over 10% after releasing earnings after Wednesday’s market close, many experts attributing this reaction to the social media giant’s second-quarter outlook.
Roth MKM Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst Rohit Kulkarni comes on Market Domination Overtime to talk about what could become Meta’s next big revenue driver, noting the tech company’s strides in generative AI compared to other competitors in the Magnificent Seven.
“The reason I say that is they have re-created the entire ad stack that has about 10 to 15 million customers which are advertisers, so the scale of improvement that those advertisers will get with gen AI improvements is going to be amplified and that’s going help with the fundamentals,” Kulkarni explains.
Kulkarni goes on to discuss Meta’s social media opportunities if TikTok parent company ByteDance does not comply with the United States’ legislative ultimatum signed by President Biden earlier today.
