The Mountain Home Bomb Squad recently received an award from the fifth annual Optimum Innovator awards at the FIRST Robotics Competition.

The Bomb Squad was awarded an honorable mention and a $500 grant for their accomplishments. Optimum awarded five winners, five runner-ups and 15 honorable mentions this year.

The awards recognize FIRST teams for their innovation and efforts in community engagement, technology, inspiration, diversity and sustainability.

Ronald Bergenstock, sponsor of Bomb Squad, says “The Bomb Squad would like to thank Optimum for their continued support. They have been a big supporter of our program for years. Without their support, our season would be much harder. They help to make robotics in Mountain Home successful.”
