Minnesota residents begin securing electric vehicle rebates
ST. PAUL, MN — Nearly 6,000 Minnesotans have applied for a rebate to help them buy electric vehicles.
The Minnesota Department of Commerce has received around 5,800 applications since the program opened in February. Over 2,000 rebate checks have been issued so far, and officials think most applicants who meet eligibility standards will eventually receive some money.
The program offers reimbursement of up to $2,500 for new EV purchases and $600 for used EVs.
