Minsait and ADIA Lab announce their collaboration in artificial intelligence…

Minsait, an Indra company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ADIA Lab, the UAE-based research centre and leader in computational and data science for economic and social applications, to foster a future framework for collaboration and research on the sustainable and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Under the terms of the MoU, the two organisations will identify key issues related to the use of AI in areas such as Green AI, smart cities, healthcare, digital finance and quantum computing. Researchers from Minsait and ADIA Lab will work together to produce scientific resources and other publications that promote the sustainable and ethical use of AI.

“This collaboration with ADIA Lab aims to foster innovation and create advanced AI solutions tailored to the needs of different sectors,” said Luis Abril, CEO of Minsait, adding that “together, we plan to push the boundaries of AI to new horizons”.

Dr Horst Simon, director of ADIA Lab, added that “collaborating with Minsait allows us to leverage our capabilities in real-world application research, ensuring that AI advances are impactful and aligned with global standards of sustainability and ethics”.

The collaboration will be overseen by a joint coordination committee, which will ensure a bi-annual meeting to align strategies and set achievable goals.

The agreement is a significant step towards integrating cutting-edge technology research with practical and scalable applications, with the aim of transforming industries by integrating innovative AI solutions across the board.
