Minsait presents AI Book to boost the use of artificial intelligence in the…

The pages of a book contain experiences, knowledge, creativity, regulatory compliance and, above all, learning methodology. With these elements and the technological base of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Minsait (Indra) has developed the AI Book, a solution that explores the possibilities of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) to respond to the needs of the publishing business.

The digital transformation company presented its technological development at the AWS Summit Madrid, which the day before received the AWS GenAI Innovative Solution award for its capacity to provide an innovative response to the challenge of the publishing sector during the AWS Partner Summit, where Minsait also received the AWS Migrations Prospecting Hero award.

The solution consists of two phases. The first phase helps to generate content from experts in the publishing field. The second allows the exploration of these knowledge bases by users, both students and teachers.

‘All this information, in a closed and controlled ecosystem, is returned so that, in continuous content updates, it can be adapted to specific needs based on the data collected’, explained Luis Ángel Tello, director of the Telco and Media Market at Minsait, at the presentation of the Ascendant report on the degree of adoption of AI in organisations.

The event provided an opportunity to advance the details of an innovation developed on artificial intelligence, machine learning and the AWS cloud. ‘By generating this knowledge governance, Minsait takes advantage of the best models we have available to develop a use case adapted to the needs of the publishing client at the best possible cost, and that seems essential to us,’ said Victor Ramos, head of Education and Research in Spain at the hyperscaler.

Multimodal algorithms and expert assistance

By combining images, audio, video and text, the AI Book uses different multimodal algorithms to create original content. From the home page, the user can upload information from different sources to generate the specific knowledge base needed.

The solution then allows the user to interact with an agent by asking questions and the generative AI offers the possibility to answer these questions through text and even through an avatar, which can adapt its voice and image to the educational context required by the publishing industry.

This innovation is employing a large number of generative AI models in a governed and paced way to achieve these results. ‘Despite all the advances, until now very few solutions have incorporated the multimodal concept to respond to the needs in the educational field,’ said Luis Ángel Tello, who stressed the importance of working ‘hand in hand with the publishing industry and continuing to respond to its challenges, such as those posed by copyright. The technology is available and we will continue to evolve along these lines.
