MISANO E-PRIX: A BRAND NEW VENUE FOR DS AUTOMOBILES AND FORMULA E | DS Automobiles

  • The pair of Misano races will form rounds six and seven of Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship

  • DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT are aiming to score more points to get back among the championship leaders

After Tokyo, it’s the turn of Misano to host its very first E-Prix this weekend, which marks the start of Formula E’s European leg. The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is a permanent track, shortened to a 3.381-kilometre lap for Formula E. This rapid layout, with several long corners, will constitute a fresh challenge when it comes to energy management for the 11 teams on the grid.

Driving the competitive DS E-TENSE FE23, Jean Eric Vergne – Formula E’s only two-time world champion – and 2022 title winner Stoffel Vandoorne will have all the tools at their disposal to bring home more points for the DS PENSKE squad.

The first Misano race will take place at 15:00 CET on Saturday April 13, while the second race gets underway the following day at the same time.

Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance director:

“All the teams will be getting to grips with a new circuit for the first race of Season 10 in Europe. Misano is a permanent track, with all the advantages that this brings in terms of grip and asphalt quality. It’s a perfectly smooth surface, but the biggest challenge will be energy management. This is down to the rapid nature of the track, where strategy and the ability to manage energy effectively will be key. We’re well prepared, we’ve got a very quick DS E-TENSE FE23, and two great champions to drive it. The goal is to do better than we did at the last race in Tokyo, and above all to get back among the leaders.”

Key figures since DS Automobiles entered Formula E:

  • 110 races
  • 4 championship titles
  • 16 victories
  • 48 podiums
  • 23 pole positions
