NeGD hosts Comprehensive Cybersecurity Training for CISOs
New Delhi: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched the “Cyber Surakshit Bharat” initiative to increase awareness of cybercrime and enhance the capabilities of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and frontline IT officials in all government departments. This initiative ensures that organizations are equipped to defend their digital infrastructures and are future-ready to address cyberattacks.
The program also provides comprehensive information and knowledge on cyber security, allowing government agencies to maintain cyber hygiene, safety, and security. The CISO training program began in 2018 and has been a successful collaboration between the government and an industry consortium operating under the Public Private Partnership (PPP). Over the years, NeGD has run 45 batches of CISO deep-dive training programs, benefiting over 1,662 CISOs and frontline IT officials and substantially impacting cyber security.
