In Mumbai, the Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC India) has appointed Dr Bikramjit (Bikram) Chaudhuri as its new Chief of Measurement Science & Analytics, succedding Dr Derrick Gray sho leaves after six years at the organisation.
BARC India is a Joint Industry Company formed by broadcasters, advertisers and agencies in May 2015 and providing the country’s TV ad currency, as well as a suite of Insight products designed for broadcasters, advertisers and agencies.
Chaudhuri (pictured) is a Ph.D. from IIT Bombay and holds a Master of Statistics degree from the Indian Statistical Institute in Delhi, as well as a number of patents to his name. He brings to the role more than three decades of experience in statistics, stochastic modelling, market measurement, consumer segmentation, AI & ML, demand forecasting and big data analytics.
He has served as Global Head of Data Science & Advanced Analytics at the Datamatics Group of Companies since 2016, and before that led teams at KPMG, Nielsen and ZS Associates.
