New shared kitchen supports Holyoke food entrepreneurs
HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Food Entrepreneurs can now practice their craft at the new shared-use commercial community kitchen in downtown Holyoke.
The goal of Great Kitchen is to help these entrepreneurs get their certifications, insurance, and other necessities to become licensed food entities in the city of Holyoke.
Kitchen Project Manager Sean Terwilliger, told 22News, “We’re a maker space for food and culinary arts and our goal is to become a cooperative venture.”
It costs $50 to cook in the kitchen, which can be accessed 24/7 and also allows chefs to take ownership of their meals. The kitchen has already been utilized consistently, according to Terwilliger.
