NYS highlights the latest EV technology

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York State leaders gave the public a chance to learn about electric vehicles on Tuesday. The annual Electric Vehicle Fleet took place at Empire State Plaza.

Attendees had the chance to see the latest vehicle and charging station technology. Organizers hope the event can ease the concerns many drivers have about transitioning to an electric vehicle.

“Electric vehicles are pretty same to what gas vehicles look like and feel like, and that’s part of our message today is that this is not a whole lot different,” NYS Deputy Commissioner for Resiliency and Sustainability Emily Rubenstein said.

New York is trying to transition to all state-owned light-duty vehicles to electric by 2035.
