OpenAI has unlocked several features like custom GPTs, Vision, and Data Analytics for free users of ChatGPT after having kept them exclusive for paid users for several months now.
What Happened: Earlier in January, Microsoft Corp.-backed OpenAI launched the GPT Store, allowing users to access GPTs tailored for different use cases like creating social media posts, generating images, and more. Now, this feature is available to all ChatGPT users for the first time.
The ability to create custom GPTs and publish them on the store still requires users to get the ChatGPT Plus subscription which costs $20 per month.
