Pakistan, Kazakhstan Discuss Collaboration In IT And Telecommunication


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin discussed collaborative efforts in the realm of IT and Telecommunication between the two countries.

During the meeting held on Tuesday, Fatima Khawaja expressed Pakistan’s keenness to bolster ties with Kazakhstan in the IT and telecom sectors. She proposed the establishment of a joint working group to facilitate partnerships between tech companies from both countries, as per a news release.

Moreover, Minister Khawaja recommended the initiation of technology transfer initiatives and exchange programs for IT experts between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. Underlining the investment potential in Pakistan’s IT and Telecommunication sector, she extended an invitation to Kazakhstani tech firms to explore investment opportunities in this burgeoning field.

Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin reaffirmed his country’s dedication to enhancing cooperation with Pakistan in the IT and Telecom sector, emphasizing the mutual benefits that such collaborations would bring.

The meeting was also attended by the Additional Secretary of MoITT, Aisha Humera Moriani, Chairman of Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), Muhammad Zohaib Khan, and DG of International Coordination, Syed Jawwad Ali Sherazi.
