Pioneer Power Lands $5M EV Charging Order
Pioneer Power Solutions, Inc. has secured a significant order worth over $5 million from a major U.S. metro transit authority to provide its e-Boost mobile electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. This order, part of an initiative to electrify a transit bus fleet by 2028, underscores Pioneer’s growing role in the EV charging market.

Pioneer Power will deliver and commission four e-Boost Mobile units at two transit depot locations to charge the transit authority’s first 24 EV buses. Each unit will provide 240kW of onboard power and come equipped with six offboard mobile EV chargers on connected skids. These units are designed to relocate to secondary sites during natural disasters, ensuring continuous operation during unexpected weather events or grid congestion.
The Transit Authority, which is leading the charge towards decarbonizing and sustainably electrifying its fleet, selected Pioneer eMobility based on several criteria including sustainability, product mobility, power delivery capacity, and design optimization.
“By providing advanced high-capacity mobile EV charging solutions that balance sustainability, economy, and practicality, we are supporting environmentally progressive cities as they adopt and acquire EV transit buses and help to secure the health and safety of the local citizens and bus operators,” said Geo Murickan, President of Pioneer eMobility.
This order is among the first e-Boost units purchased through Sourcewell, a national nonprofit service cooperative. The e-Boost product line is now available to municipal and government agencies through INF Associates Energy Solutions, Pioneer’s alliance partner.

The project’s timeline from approval to execution is notably short, a testament to Pioneer’s ability to maintain critical components in inventory, allowing for the fastest lead time for product deployment in the market.
