Plans to install 25m-high telecommunications mast on Crowland industrial site
Plans to install a 25m-high telecommunications mast on a town industrial area will be discussed this week.
Circet UK have applied to site a Valmont monopole on the Pinnacle Close Industrial Units in Crowland with their mast and antenna plus associated works.
The business – which describes itself as leading providers to the telecommunications, transport infrastructure and power sectors – has made the request after being told it would no longer be able to use its current mast on nearby Crease Drove.
“The proposal would replace an existing monopole, located approximately 170m (away), where a notice to quit was recently served by the landowner,” a South Holland District Council planning officer report stated.

“This existing equipment is approximately 27.5m in height, although the width of the pole is comparable.”
The report added the mast would be sited on ‘an area which is currently grassed’ on Pinnacle Close, which is partly owned by the council.
SHDC’s planning committee will discuss the proposal at their next meeting on Wednesday (April 8).
