Product Manager (20 month contract)

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Product Manager to lead the development and implementation of strategic annual marketing plans to ensure customer success and deliver budgeted Net Profit to the Province (NPP). You will help lead the design, development, and marketing on exciting retail Instant Lottery products while following enterprise brand guidelines to deliver annual revenue/player participation outcomes and desired customer experience. You will oversee the game contribution and performance of assigned brands and strategic projects within the Instant category – including managing the identification, evaluation, recommendation and implementation of marketing and product initiatives – to maximize market penetration in alignment with consumer expectations and OLG’s business objectives.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Instant Products & Operations, you will be empowered to:
Product Management

Oversee the development of annual Instant Product Plans for assigned brands– including budgets, projections, marketing and operational plans – to maximize consumer satisfaction and deliver against corporate sales, profits, and player participation in a manner that contributes towards corporate objectives.

Support the development of product brand and product strategies in alignment with enterprise guidelines and overall OLG Masterbrand

Collaborate closely with the Instant Ticket Operations and Demand Planning teams to manage the product lifecycle and maintain optimal inventory levels of assigned brands at retail.
Product Development & Innovation

Provide strategic direction for the implementation of new Instant products within assigned categories from concept to launch – including final game designs, play experiences, and prize structures while ensuring adherence to the portfolio schedule and OLG’s business goals

Evaluate the current product brand performance to quantify results and identify issues, challenges, and future opportunities

Maintains expert knowledge of all market research that is specific to Instant Product management to evaluate market opportunity, revenue opportunity, risk, cost and implementation requirements
Marketing Excellence

Support annual and day to day execution of the media planning with the agency support and in collaboration with Marketing Content Communication who will ensure brand and campaign design guidelines are met.

Develop and track marketing spend against quarterly forecast including non-working, working, promotional and partnership budgets; provide recommendations on variances

Collaborate with Brand stakeholders during key milestones throughout marketing process including providing final approval on marketing deliverables

Collaborate with Brand Marketing to execute and enhance advertising campaigns across identified media channels and tactics, and on product brand positioning.

Oversee the recommendation of new marketing initiatives to ensure that identified market opportunities are being fulfilled
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience: 5+ years of related experience in a similar role; consumer product brand management experience in a new product-oriented industry, such as entertainment, gaming, CPG (preferred)
Education: University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills: Marketing principles including product design, promotion, pricing, merchandising, advertising, market research and sales/retail channels; knowledge of broadcast media/production, consumer/retailer promotions, budget and agency management; knowledge of agile principles and technology (preferred)
