It was the first time that WCAMT has gathered in 2024, following on from their meeting in December 2023.
The World Council for Automobile Mobility and Tourism met at the FIA Conference to discuss key achievements and issues within the mobility landscape.
The agenda covered a wide range of topics, including the award-winning FIA Road Safety Index, the newly launched FIA Helmet Wearing Initiative, and FIA SafeForAll.
Delegates also got the opportunity to discuss other Regional Development projects, including the newly launched FIA Innovation Challenge – which celebrates Club development projects and initatives- and FIA University.
Members also approved the FIA’s Annual Activity Report, which will now be passed to the Extraordinary General Asssemblies.
FIA President, Mohammed Ben Sulayem attended the meeting. He said: “Halfway through 2024, it is time to reflect on the work we have done, and the work still to come. Let’s keep the momentum to shape a future where the FIA stands as a beacon of sustainability, advocacy, and innovation within the Mobility (and motorsport) community.”
