Reicher 1st in design, 6th overall at American Robotics Open
The Cougar Tech robotics team from Bishop Louis Reicher Catholic School won first place in the Robot Design category and sixth place overall at the American Robotics Open Championship held recently.
The team was judged and rewarded with the top prize in Robot Design for outstanding engineering and planning, including durability and efficiency, to perform challenges with its robot.
The team also tied for third place in the lightning round competition, thinking quick and performing well under pressure.
By placing sixth overall, Bishop Reicher demonstrated all-around excellence, innovation and strategic thinking in all aspects of the competition.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and their accomplishments at the Invitational,” said Michael Pennell, head of school at Reicher. “Their success is a reflection of their hard work, teamwork, and the supportive community here at Bishop Reicher. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and achievements in the field of robotics.”
