Russell County students selected for entrepreneurship program


A pair of Russell County students have been selected for a prestigious business opportunity.

Russell County’s Danica Coe and Laila Hammond have been selected for the 2024 Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute through the Center for Rural Development.

The summer youth leadership program provides students hands-on experience for students to learn what it takes to manage and operate a successful start-up business.

Danica is the daughter of Amy and Shayne Coe of Russell Springs, and Laila is the daughter of Greg and Julie Hammond of Russell Springs.

30 high schools in Kentucky will be represented at the program.
