Salesforce to open 1st AI Centre in London; unveils AI product updates at UK event
Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) said it has picked London for its first AI Center, where industry experts and customers will be able to collaborate to advance AI innovation, and upskilling opportunities will be provided.
The San Francisco-based tech giant last year committed to invest $4B in its U.K. business over five years to strengthen AI innovation.
Salesforce made the announcement on the sidelines of its annual London World Tour event, which is being attended by more than 17,500 delegates, according to the company.
Salesforce noted that as part of its U.K. focus, Salesforce Ventures has invested over $200M in U.K. companies including, text-to-speech and AI voice generator firm ElevenLabs, and AutoGenAI, an AI bid writing engine.
“AI has the potential to drive major growth for UK businesses – with the UK AI market predicted to reach over $1 trillion by 2035,” said Zahra Bahrololoumi, CEO, Salesforce UKI.
In a separate release, Salesforce said that Data Cloud will be available on Hyperforce, a platform architecture built on the public cloud in the U.K., starting July 31.
Data Cloud on Hyperforce in the U.K. will enable organizations to ensure that they store data in-country to keep up with local regulations and compliance standards.
In addition, Salesforce announced the general availability of Data Cloud Vector Database to help businesses unify the 90% of customer data which is trapped in PDFs, emails, transcripts, and other unstructured formats.
The company noted that businesses can now analyze unstructured data sources like call transcripts, online customer reviews, and support tickets directly into the customer profile to gain a deeper understanding.
These profiles then enable teams and AI to search through this data to find insights which could help to boost sales, service and marketing, according to Salesforce.
