San Jose supports female entrepreneurs with retail spaces
Downtown San Jose’s retail industry growth opens a new chapter with Moment Paseo, a program aimed at supporting five female-led businesses by offering them physical retail spaces. The introduction of these spaces contributes to their growth potential and boosts their visibility.
Entrepreneurs involved in this initiative come from a range of industries, such as clothing, jewelry, home goods, and food, highlighting the lively diversity in the local retail sector. The city’s commitment to women entrepreneurs and economic growth is visible through such an approach, benefiting the ongoing pandemic recovery.
While the commercial trade in central San Jose has been moderately inactive, success stories like the Moment popup shops at the Market Street garage do exist. The extension of this model is in the planning stage with Moment San Pedro, which aims to invigorate the bounce-back movement of commercial activity in San Jose.
The location for Moment Paseo was meticulously chosen. It is in two places on the Paseo de San Antonio pathway, served as a vibrant hub for these five women-led businesses. This prime location assists in networking, organizing client meetings, and digging up new opportunities.
