SCORE 2024 Awards Highlight Owners With Strategic Focus

The 2024 SCORE Small Business Achievement Awards honor small business entrepreneurs who, working with SCORE mentors, brought a strategic focus to their business.
It’s time for the SCORE 2024 awards, that time of year when SCORE Chester and Delaware Counties takes great pride in celebrating the milestone accomplishments of entrepreneurs who are working closely with their SCORE mentors.
Six small businesses and nonprofits were honored on June 6 at the annual Small Business Achievement Awards event at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester.
The award event highlights SCORE’s commitment to recognize its clients and their successes.
“Our winners provide excellent examples of how success can be achieved through a clear vision of the business goals and a plan to execute step-by-step to deliver results,” said Mercedes Diaz, SCORE Mentor and Awards Program Leader.
This year’s award winners represent diverse backgrounds and segments, including minority- and woman-ownership.
Four organizations are recognized for their diligent ‘strategic focus’ during startup and early-stage business development.
Two previous SCORE award winners are being applauded again in 2024 for their clear example of ‘sustained growth.’
SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer business experts dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals.
SCORE Chester and Delaware Counties has a dedicated team of 100 local volunteers today who provide confidential mentoring at no charge and business training to benefit the local community.
Recognizing that no one person – or one entrepreneur – can be an expert in all areas, the One SCORE approach enables local mentors to connect with 10,000+ volunteer business professionals across the US to ‘meet clients where they are’ in their process…for the life of their business.
Overtime, SCORE is assisting more and more clients across county and state lines who are developing and growing regional, national, and international businesses and nonprofit organizations.
Virtual meeting technology and recorded business training has enabled an efficient sharing model to reach entrepreneurs and business owners anytime, anywhere.
The 2024 award winners were selected from a group of nominations by their SCORE mentors. Each business case was reviewed by a volunteer team to understand: the mission, unique value proposition, path to success, how SCORE mentoring helped, and how the business is doing today.

The SCORE team updated its award ceremony format this year to celebrate with a networking event where the winners can meet more of the community partners and sponsors, political leaders and SCORE volunteers – up close and personal.
