The South Los Angeles Robotics Youth Showdown 2024 preview
Gayle Anderson previewed the SOLA Robotics Youth Showdown where guests can expect a day of thrilling and fun robotics competition unlike what most have seen before. The public is invited to cheer South Los Angeles Youth Robotics young competitors, grab a free photo printout at our photo booth, play some games, get your face painted, and enjoy great food from our vendors.
The 2024 SYS “Game: The Machine.” Students will program the robot to complete the task at a selected map destination. Teams get three minutes per round. Teams will compete for up to four rounds. The teams with the highest cumulative scores will be determined as the winners. Participants can also win prizes selected by our interviewers and quiz bowl results.
The event will take place from Noon until 4 p.m. at the South Los Angeles Youth Showdown at The Beehive, 961 E. 61st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90001. For more information, visit SolaRobotics.org.
