Town updates residents on its cybersecurity attack

From the Town of Huntsville

The Town of Huntsville’s recovery from the recent cybersecurity incident is in the final stages. All but one internal system, and all external facing systems are now in operation; however, some municipal services are still impacted.

Work is in progress for staff to access electronic records.  Specific services continue to be impacted as some documents are still unavailable at this time (e.g. septic permits). Please call Town Hall Customer Service at 705-789-1751 for questions regarding our current services. The public interactive map, TOHM (Town of Huntsville Map), has been restored and is available for public use. Updates to GIS data are still in progress.

The Town is continuing to work with authorities to investigate the incident and has undertaken a number of changes to minimize risk of recurrence and mitigate impacts.
