Two Arrested for Burglary of Automobile on Highway 7 in Oxford – The Local Voice

On April 11, 2024, the Oxford Police Department arrived at the 150th block of Highway 7 for a report of property damage. A car’s window was shattered and property stolen from the glove box. Upon investigation, Jaya Wiley, 23, of Oxford, Mississippi, was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Crime and Colan Kemp, 36, of Water Valley, Mississippi, was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Crime and Burglary. 

Wiley was taken before a Municipal Court judge for an initial bond hearing and was issued a $4,000 bond and a hold was placed by Drug Court. Kemp was taken before a Municipal Court judge for an initial bond hearing and was issued a $13,500 bond and a hold was placed by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
