UANL secures Top Honors at National Robotics Tournament
May 10, 2024
The technological and programming prowess of students from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León shone brightly at the 2024 Mexican Robotics Tournament, an event organized by the Mexican Federation of Robotics.
An illustrative display of this dominance was evident in the participation of students from High School 20, who secured first place in the Rescue Maze category, while their counterparts from High School 8 clinched third place in the same category.
UANL students also asserted their dominance in the Onstage category. In this division, students from the Center for Research and Development of Bilingual Education (CIDEB) claimed first place, with High School 25 securing second place.
CIDEB students further showcased their excellence by securing first place in the Rapidly Manufactured Robot Challenge category.
Following their triumphs in the Rescue Maze, Onstage, and Rapidly Manufactured Robot Challenge categories, the two teams from CIDEB and the team from High School 20 will represent Mexico and UANL in the international tournament “RoboCup 2024”, scheduled to take place from July 18 to 21 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
Pioneering Innovation
In the fifteenth edition of the competition, over 960 participants from across the country engaged in developing and presenting innovative robotics projects.
More than 20 academic institutions from Mexico, along with two international teams, took part in the competition hosted by UANL.
