USG Mandatory Cybersecurity Awareness Training due April 30 | Campus News
The state of Georgia — including the University System of Georgia — requires all its employees, including student workers, to complete cybersecurity training twice annually, one of which is due April 30. The training should take 15-20 minutes.
According to a press release from the University of Georgia, the training is conducted online through KnowBe4 and provides “effective and actionable training on good cybersecurity practices.”
Those required to complete training will receive several reminders through their UGA email. The reminders will come from Ben Myers (bmyers@uga.edu) and will have the subject line: “USG Mandatory Cybersecurity Awareness Training Due April 30, 2024.”
According to the press release, you can complete the training by going to https://training.knowbe4.com/auth/saml/8840131a04b53 and logging in with your UGA MyID and password.
Once on the training homepage, you should see the UGA logo in the upper left portion of the training window. If you have not completed the training, a course named “2024 Social Engineering Red Flags” will be there.
To make your way through the training, click the “next” button at the end of each slide. At the end of the slides, you will be prompted to take a short quiz. After the quiz, click the “next” button to go to the “congratulations” screen. There, you will find the “complete training” at the bottom center of the screen.
You must click the “complete training” button to record your participation. Once your training is finished, you will receive a completion notice to your UGA email from KnowBe4.
