Verizon users experience challenges calling 911; officials offer alternatives | News

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.- Officials report that Verizon users have had issues calling 911 and suggest texting or using an alternative number. 

Suncomm 911, the emergency dispatch for Yakima County, says that calls from Verizon users will come in but dispatches will not receive any phone or location information. 

Verizon users experiencing difficulties are advised to text 911 or call 509-453-9000.
