Veterans Middle School in Donna showcases robotics club

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Robotics teachers from Veterans Middle School in Donna spoke about their program and their win in ValleyCentral’s Classroom Cribs.

School Principal Alenn Garza and Robotics Club teacher Daniel Gonzalez talked about how the team created a prosthetic limb for a student who did not have an arm.

They also created a robot to help local law enforcement break down doors during in-field missions, an “automobile couch” to roll around the classroom in/lounge around in during breaks, and a 3D printer.

Both educators say they encourage STEM fields in education and help fuel curiosity, imagination, and creativity in robotics engineering for the next generation.
