WHHS Robotics Team Wins First Place in CIJE Competition
The Westchester Hebrew High School (WHHS) Robotics Team has achieved a remarkable victory in the CIJE Robotics Competition. As newcomers to the competition, the team outperformed 55 other high school teams from yeshiva high schools nationwide, showcasing their exceptional abilities in engineering, programming and problem-solving.
This triumph is a testament to the hard work and ingenuity of the WHHS students: Reese Cohen, Logan Finkelstein, Abby Milchman, Brielle Milchman, Chloe Milchman, Ephram Piafsky, Saadia Price, and Shir Yarmovski. Their commitment, collaborative efforts and aptitude for solving problems led them to victory.
This victory underscores the significance of providing opportunities that align with the school’s values and traditions. The CIJE Robotics League has paved the way for Jewish schools to engage in cutting-edge technology and compete on a level playing field, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition.
The success of the WHHS Robotics Team would not have been possible without the exceptional leadership and coordination of David Merel (WHHS Class of ’98), the school’s STEAM coordinator. His tireless efforts and unwavering support were instrumental in the victory.
As the WHHS community celebrates this remarkable achievement, they look forward to the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.
