Young Entrepreneurs to Shine for Lemonade Day | Community
SHREVEPORT, La. – A free community-wide program that teaches kids entrepreneurial skills through operating their own lemonade stands, will take place on May 18th, 2024.
The Lemonade Day Shreveport- Bossier City program is presented by Cohab, and their Executive Director, Jessica Schiele, joined us on KTBS3 with more information.
Registration is now open for kids who want to learn valuable lessons in financial literacy, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship. Participants can sign up and receive a free backpack and workbook at any area Cadence Bank Branch, Cafe Boba Tea, or Boba Xpres.

The community is invited to support these young entrepreneurs by seeking out lemonade stands on May 18th and purchasing lemonade.
Anyone sharing pictures from stands (with permission from stand owners and their parents) should use the hashtag #LemonadeDayShreveportBossierCity.
At the end of the Lemonade Day Shreveport-Bossier City season, a Young Entrepreneur of the Year will be named and receive a $500 prize, courtesy of Louisiana Economic Development, and a Most Innovative Stand award for $250 will also be awarded, courtesy of MersaTech.
The Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Shreveport-Bossier City will go on to compete at the national level.
